LoRa Modules and Gateways are the Solutions!

This global pandemic forced us to do two things: 1. combat Covid-19 and 2. preserve our resources sustainably. The former involves technologies that focus on prevention and monitoring, while the latter revolves around incorporating Internet of Things, or IoT, solutions in existing systems.

With the shift from physical to virtual, this period has propelled digital applications and systems to thrive significantly. Everything is changing, and as expected, technology adapts to that change quickly and iteratively.

In the fight against Covid-19, these projects that are being conceptualized involve body-temperature sensors and multi-agent systems. Their primary goal is to gather and report data accurately and efficiently, without having to be in close contact with different people. This allows for a more efficient and touch-free process that does not risk people’s health and safety.

On another note, sustainable systems are on the rise as well. The start of the pandemic leads to a depletion of resources, causing panic, which leads to companies and even groups of people reassessing how distribution and purchases were made, to make sure enough resources were available to go around. Incorporating IoT meant incorporating LoRaWAN® gateways in structures such as solar panels or main servers to increase the effectiveness of communication and accuracy of the logistics whereabouts. With LoRa modules and LoRa gateways, end-users and logistics companies can both track not only where the items are but if there needs to be a replenishment of items.

Aside from this use, LoRa® modules can also be used to help create more sustainable and smart cities, buildings, and agriculture.

LoRa® modules and LoRa gateway assist in reimagining the current IoT system. It enhances the existing process, corrects past mistakes, and creates a brand new future that is more sustainable and eco-friendly.

Our current situation is crucial, but through innovation - there will always be a solution.
