The RAKwireless Power Line Communication Module LX200V10/20 can be used for applications that vary between internet access and home automation. It conveniently connects IP telephones, computers and other network devices.
Features and Specifications of
PLC Module
PLC
is based on the new orthogonal frequency division multiplexing modulation
technology. Its design can easily integrate with products used by customers and
does not interact with existing CATV signals present within a home. Devices
that are supported by the Home Plug AV standards and the IEEE1901 can be interoperable
with the module. The RAK Power Line Communication
Module LX200V20, provides an MII communication interface and is a
suitable option for embedded design application and to shorten the design
cycle. It can easily be plugged into devices with the help of connectors. The PLC
Module LX200V10/20 is a standard interface which connects to computers, IP
cameras and other networking equipment. It supports multiple media using either
the coaxial line, power line or twisted pair. It ensures smooth transmission of
HDTV, IPTV audio and visual signals with a network transmission rate of 80Mbps.
It has a built in AES encryption which facilitates network security and
communications. A total of 4 modules are allowed and the frequency band is 2-30
MHz. The module requires 12V of DC power supply and the physical layer
transmission rate is 200Mbps.
Applications of PLC
A
Power Line Communication Module is manufactured
to endure extreme conditions, humidity and electrical noise. It also allows
receiving and transmitting of data through already existing infrastructure.
Therefore, new wiring isn’t required, saving time, space and costs. The system
controls quality and position in every single step ensuring superior
performance. PLC is therefore used in the cement industry to monitor and ensure
the raw materials are accurately mixed to produce the best output. They are
also now used in the petrochemical industry, bottling plants and food tech.
Since it doesn’t require any complicated configurations, PLC can be immediately
used once the connections are in place. Its exceptional intelligence and security
features makes it ideal to use in military departments, home surveillance,
medicine, automotive industry and mining. It is now a common feature in
industrial and civil related applications.
