Alexa is Everywhere

Just like Netflix, Amazon is embedding Alexa almost everywhere it can possibly make sense. Ranging from televisions, refrigerators and all sorts of Amazon Echo like docks, every single one operating on Amazon Alexa API, – Alexa’s voice recognition technology, without requiring the purchase of an echo speaker. Add to that the devices that integrate with Amazon Alexa’s APIs, making themselves controllable by the user’s Amazon Echo.

Amazon API

Amazon as of late, released the Alexa Skills Kit, which is a Software Development Kit, which contains various Amazon Alexa's APIs that permits designers to incorporate Alexa into their applications. Amazon has gained an advantage by offering ASK for free. Now, specialists and commercial developers can without much of a stretch integrate their devices into Echo.

In early 2017, Amazon tied up with ford motors in order to allow owners of Ford cars to use Amazon’s Alexa voice-activated assistant in their vehicles. Drivers will be able to ask for a weather report, stream music from Amazon Music or add appointments to their calendars. They will also be able to use Alexa from home to start or unlock their cars remotely.

With such extensive operations, Alexa is without a doubt an immediate risk to Apple's endeavours with Siri and Car play. Before, Siri and Alexa have played in largely separate spaces. That changed when Amazon added Alexa to the Amazon Fire TV Stick, offering a substantially less expensive way to Netflix than Apple TV.

Maybe flagging their expectations, Amazon has not yet manufactured an application for the Apple TV to permit Apple TV customers to get to Amazon Video. Presently, Amazon is more directly challenging Apple in the auto space. Amazon is pursuing their own type of ecosystem community secure.

Amazon is serious about intensifying the reach of Alexa and Echo. Whether you are a company, working on the next big voice activated thing or if you are a lone developer with a Raspberry Pi and an inspired idea, all you have to do is ASK and you will have everything you need to expand into the realm of Amazon Alexa API.
